As good engineers often put all our attention on the design and operation of a circuit, once it is ready and we need to report the results simply copy and paste the circuit regardless of its appearance, this is where we must ask: Does the capture of the circuit is organized? Is it easy to understand? Am I putting notes detailing their work?
educational and professional level is necessary to document a design for the best because this way is more understandable and easy to modify in the future. In this article I show the tools available in Multisim to improve the appearance of the designs.
's start with the graphical annotations, text, lines, shapes and images. In Multisim can find these options on the menu Place. To place text labels simply select that option, then click on the workspace and capture the desired text:
Once placed we can change the text size, font, etc.. Simply right click on the text and select Font ... in the context menu. Indeed, the text labels are floating, they can move freely.
Just below the text option in the menu on Multisim Place, is the graphics :
As in the text, if we click right on a line or geometrical figure, we can change its color and pen style, fill type and to create arrows.
My favorites are the Comments , this option is also on the menu on Multisim Place. The comments are small text labels that are visible when approaching the mouse pointer:
We can also customize by right-clicking on them.
No circuit is complete without its Title Block which contains the title of the design, designer name, etc. Multisim has several templates you can use, for this go to the Insert menu >> Block T heading for ... and select a template. For example:
By default the Title Block are in English, but by right-clicking on them can be edited. Once we published double-click to enter information.
If you require printed circuit first thing you have to do is set the Print Options . These options will find the File menu Multisim. Here we find the Print Setup Circuit: sheet size, orientation, margins, etc.. There is also an option to select printing of the instruments.
The next time you design a circuit in Multisim, remember to use these options to document it better.
Until next time.
