Continuing the theme of the Instruments LabVIEW Multisim in this post we'll see more detail the operation of Microphone and Horn (or Speaker). If you're not familiar with the LabVIEW Instrument clicks here .
The microphone and speaker let you record and play sound directly from external devices, that is, if you have a microphone in your PC you can record your voice and enter into a circuit in Multisim. Subsequently, through the instrument can output speaker circuit.
To start I will put both instruments in the workspace of my version of Multisim in English and connect:
Now the principle of operation of these instruments Multisim is:
- Configured total simulation time.
- voice is recorded by the microphone.
- simulation runs.
- recorded sound is played through the speaker.
Step 1. To set the simulation time ng Multisim we menu Simulate >> Interactive Simulation Settings . In the window configuration we will select a Initial Time 0 seconds and a Final Time 3 seconds.
This simulation will automatically stop when arriving at 3 seconds.
Step 2. We double-click the microphone to open its front panel. We will set it as shown:
We now button Record Sound to start recording something and speak into the microphone of the PC. When finished close the instrument microphone.
Step 3. Now run the simulation and we hope to spend the 3 seconds of Multisim simulation. We can see the progress of the lower right corner of the main window Multisim:
Again, remember that 3 seconds of simulation in Multisim is not equivalent to 3 seconds time real. The simulation requires many c ALCULATIONS complex are performed in the SPICE engine.
Step 4. demos Stopping the simulation double-click the speaker and configuring your panel as well:
Here it is important to mention that the playback duration ( Playback Duration ) and the sampling rate ( Sample Rate ) must be the same values \u200b\u200bset in the microphone.
We button Play Sound and hear the sound from the speakers of PC.
